What would you like people to know about you?

I’m a telco [telecommunications] baby. I worked in telco for more than 12 years in Manila. I also did theater and public speaking, as far back as first grade. Storytelling has been a part of me ever since.

What has made you feel included at work?

It’s very hard for a non-European to break into the scene here in Europe. The mere fact that Worldsensing considered hiring me—and I don’t even speak Spanish that well—makes me feel like I’m included.

How do you think each person can help create an inclusive environment at work?

I think definitely we just have to keep an open mind and educate ourselves about cultural differences, to just try to be open and not try to force what ‘I am’ onto other people. Also, just learn to listen and ask questions.
