The G7 tiltmeters can be set to trigger real-time alerts with less than 2 seconds of latency.

Environmental awareness

Integrated temperature and humidity sensors monitor internal conditions to detect issues like enclosure failure or improper sealing.

Internal or external antenna

Choose external antenna for full range capabilities or an internal antenna for applications such as railway tracks where it’s important to minimize the potential risk for external parts.

Full range

3-axis inclination with respect to gravity’s direction and a range of ± 90⁰.

Fast configuration

Previous configuration available in the app to quickly configure a set of tiltmeters within the same project.

Bluetooth enabled

Wireless configuration with the Worldsensing App. USB-C connector is also available.

Extended battery life

Supports high-capacity D-size batteries for up to 10 years of operation, depending on configuration and reporting rate.

Operational modes

The G7 Tiltmeter lets you choose between operational modes in addition to periodic readings so you can tailor data collection to your project needs. These modes optimize workflows, extend battery life, and reduce the number of devices required in the field.

New

Triggered measurements mode

The G7 Tiltmeter’s motion detection sensor actively monitors changes in angle, angular velocity, and acceleration. When a significant movement is detected, it triggers the primary sensor to capture detailed measurements—exactly when you need them.

You can customize when and how many measurements are taken—on event, after event, both, or across multiple events—and set delays and cooldown periods to match your monitoring needs.

This intelligent mode reduces unnecessary data transmission, keeps battery consumption low, and focuses on the movements that matter most, giving you actionable insights without overloading your system.

Now in all G7 Tiltmeters

Event detection mode

The G7 Tiltmeter continuously monitors tilt at 3.9 Hz, instantly checking measurements against configurable thresholds.

If a threshold is exceeded, the system sends an alert in under 2 seconds and automatically increases reporting frequency to capture detailed data during the event. Once the movement stabilizes, monitoring returns to its standard reporting interval, ensuring efficient, focused, and timely insights.

Track Geometry Assesment

Tiltmeters

Loadsensing G7 Tiltmeter offers a cost-effective way to monitor cant and twist in rail tracks, particularly in geohazard-prone areas. With G7’s trigger-mode monitoring, a secondary low-power accelerometer detects movements such as train passages and activates the main sensor to capture inclination data. This approach minimizes power use and data load while ensuring continuous, reliable oversight, with all results processed in CMT.

Frequently asked questions

What is the G7 Tiltmeter used for?

The G7 Tiltmeter is a 3-axis wireless sensor designed to monitor inclinations, movements, and differential settlements in slopes, railways, tunnels, and other civil infrastructure. It is ideal for both long-term monitoring and event-driven measurements.

How does the G7 Tiltmeter measure movement?

It measures tilt using a high-precision 3-axis MEMS accelerometer. Secondary sensors include motion detection, temperature, and humidity for enhanced reliability and condition monitoring.

What operational modes are available?

The G7 supports three modes:
- Periodic mode: Regular readings at selectable intervals.
- Triggered measurements mode: Activates when motion or threshold values are detected.
- Event detection mode: High-frequency tilt evaluation with alerts for threshold breaches, suitable for early warning applications.

What is the communication range for the data logger?

The radio range of any of Loadsensing devices varies depending on the environment. In open sight, the range can reach up to 15 km (9.3 mi), while in a city street it is up to 4 km (2.5 mi). When placed in a manhole in a city street, the range is up to 2 km (1.2 mi), and in a tunnel, it extends up to 4 km (2.5 mi).

How long does the battery last?

Battery life depends on the configuration: up to 17 years in low-frequency periodic mode, or shorter durations for high-frequency or event-driven monitoring. It uses a standard 3.6V D-size Li-SOCl₂ battery.

What are the installation options?

The G7 comes in two variants: Tilt-XHP with external antenna for maximum range, and Tilt-IR with internal antenna for compact installations or environments requiring encapsulation. Various mounting plates and kits are available for magnetic, glued, or anchor-based installation.

What communication capabilities does it have?

The G7 communicates via WSLoRa/LoRaWAN, supporting bidirectional communication for configuration, reporting period adjustment, and mode switching. Radio range varies from 1 km to 15 km depending on environment and device variant

Can it be integrated with other systems?

Yes. It can be configured and monitored via the Worldsensing App, CMT Cloud, or CMT Edge, enabling integration into larger remote monitoring networks and early warning systems.

Is the G7 Tiltmeter weatherproof?

Yes. It has IP68 protection (2 m for 2 hours) and high vibration and impact resistance, making it suitable for harsh field conditions.

What certifications does it have?

The G7 Tiltmeter complies with major regional standards: FCC/ISED (North America), MTC/SUBTEL/ANATEL (Latin America), CE/UKCA (Europe & Middle East), and ACMA (Asia & Australia).
