The 4G Rugged Gateway is an outdoor LoRa gateway featuring 4G and Ethernet backhaul connectivity. It serves as the core communication hub for Worldsensing edge devices, efficiently connecting a high volume of end devices and managing millions of bidirectional messages daily.

up to 15km coverage. Multi-spreading factor for better coverage and network efficiency.

Worldwide LoRa coverage

supports ISM sub-GHz unlicensed radio bands for all international regions. Multi-spreading factor for network efficiency.

Highly scalable

  • Up to 30 messages per minute on a single-gateway deployment using an Edge Gateway.
  • Up to 300 messages per minute on multi-gateway deployment using a Cloud Gateway.

4G Rugged Gateway Edge

The 4G Rugged Gateway Edge comes with CMT Edge embedded in the device, from where you locally operate your network, device and data via ethernet or 4G.

4G Rugged Gateway Cloud

The 4G Rugged Gateway can create multi-gateway networks for data redundancy: if one gateway fails to connect, data from edge devices streams to CMT Cloud through alternative gateways within a network. They all stream data to the Worldsensing’s management software CMT Cloud. From CMT Cloud, you can manage multiple networks, devices and data from a consolidated user interface.

Where can I use the 4G rugged gateway?

The 4G gateway is applicable to all regions, with or without 4G coverage. It is ideal for outdoor construction projects, tailing dams, bridges, buildings and along railway tracks.

I have existing 3G gateways deployed for our project but we are planning to expand. Can both 3G and 4G gateways be deployed in one project?

Yes, both gateways may be deployed in the same project.

Our mine is in Africa and there is no 4G coverage there yet. Can we use the 4G gateways there?

Yes. Thanks to the gateway's 3G/2G fallback capabilities, it will automatically switch to 3G or 2G communication protocols when detected.

Can I connect the 4G gateway to a local power source such as solar panels?

Yes, you may connect to solar panels or a wind turbine. Please get in touch with us so we can scope out your project requirements and give a proper recommendation.
