Worldsensing has been recognized for its excellence in innovation as Internet of Things (IoT) pioneer and Operational Intelligence expert by the international EU Business School. The award was presented to Ignasi Vilajosana, Worldsensing CEO and co-founder, during the Commencement Ceremony 2019, held at the Palau de Congressos de Catalunya, Barcelona on June the 15th.
This year’s event was attended by 250 students and 550 guests from all over the world with whom Ignasi Vilajosana shared Worldsensing’s success story. Under his leadership, Worldsensing has grown within a few years into a cutting-edge company offering complete end-to-end technology and service solutions, which are facilitated by sensors with reliable local wireless and global Internet connectivity. He has focused Worldsensing in key markets, notably traditional industry sectors as well as smart cities.
He explains how innovation has been the core of Worldsensing from the beginning: “Years of research and work with clients have given us a good knowledge of how innovation can be successfully transformed into practical applications.”

The EU Business School yearly awards are given to companies and local organizations in recognition of outstanding achievements. Awards are given in six categories: Innovation, Leadership, Entrepreneurship, Family Business, Sustainability, and Corporate Social Responsibility. EU Business School’s MBA program has recently been ranked in the top 35 worldwide by America Economia’s 2019 global rankings.
