Fastprk among four leading Parking Management Systems worldwide
Barcelona, June 2017
International Data Corporation (IDC), the global market intelligence analyst, has just named the top four vendors for smart parking solutions. Among them are Fybr (USA), Parkmobile (USA), Smart Parking Ltd. (Australia), and Worldsensing (Spain).
Worldsensing is the only European Smart Parking vendor among the featured companies. The Barcelona-based IoT pioneer and Operational Intelligence provider offers one of the leading outdoor parking management systems worldwide. IDC emphasizes that Fastprk is a cloud- and sensor-based system, which connects to a data management platform, analytics tools, mobile apps and electronic panels via in-ground sensors and allows for mobile payment.
Fastprk has recently been integrated in Worldsensing´s Operational Intelligence solution for cities, Mobility. As part of the project in Qatar, Fastprk now provides city operators of the Arab peninsula with valuable real-time information on parking space turnover. Mobility enables authorities to integrate all subsystem their city runs on, such as traffic flow management and lighting, to manage them from one place. By connecting their systems and centralizing their teams in a single control center, the solution fosters cross-departmental collaboration and faster and better decision-making.
IDC Innovators profiles smart parking vendors with an innovative technology or a groundbreaking new business model or both, with revenue of less than $100 million.
Worldsensing has also just been featured as key innovator in the MarketsToMarkets research report titled “Industrial IoT Market”.
Worldsensing is a widely recognized global IoT pioneer. Founded in 2008, the Barcelona-based technology provider delivers Operational Intelligence to traditional industries and cities. With over 60 employees in Barcelona, London and Los Angeles, Worldsensing is globally active and has already conducted projects in over 50 countries across 5 continents.
With a focus on developing integrated software and hardware solutions for both smart city and industrial applications, the company’s flagship products are its integrated City Operational Intelligence Solution Mobility, Loadsensing, the Connected Infrastructure Solution and Fastprk, its Parking Management System.
Worldsensing is an end-to-end provider, who develops projects, manufactures the necessary technology and commercializes it through a global partner network. The company is experiencing fast growth and is planning to double its staff and revenue in 2017.
