Event: Worldsensing speaks at Geotechnical Conference in the US

March 2016

Worldsensing showcased Wireless Sensing Solutions
At the Geotechnical and Structural Instrumentation, Monitoring and Information Engineering Conference in Colorado, USA, Worldsensing experts Blanca Payas and Claudia Abancó (PhD in Engineering) spoke about wireless sensor technology. They shared their expertise on wireless sensor networks through a selection of recent success stories, providing a comprehensive overview of geotechnical and structural instrumentation and monitoring, from fundamental principles to state-of-the-art applications in civil, construction, mining, pipeline/utilities and oil & gas.
Participants gained an understanding of current and emerging instrumentation, monitoring types, applications, data collection and management systems, as well as monitoring program planning. Concepts were presented about information engineering and information visualization, the use of monitoring in risk management and asset management, and how monitoring data can be used to update estimates of reliability.
