New environmental certification adding to the successful re-certification to quality standard ISO 9001
At Worldsensing, our daily objective is to advance technology that enhances the resilience of civil infrastructures by closely monitoring their structural integrity. Having a corporate mission so deeply entwined with environmental protection, we have chosen to take an additional step and fulfil our environmental responsibilities through ISO certification.
We are delighted to announce that we have been granted the internationally recognised ISO 14001 certification for our environmental management system, while successfully attaining re-certification to ISO 9001 for our quality management system. This accomplishment demonstrates our commitment to both environmental stewardship and the maintenance of high-quality standards.
ISO 14001, an international standard for environmental protection
ISO 14001 ensures that we systematically measure and monitor the environmental impact of our operations. This international standard establishes the criteria and outlines a framework for companies to design, implement, and evaluate an effective Environmental Management System (EMS).
Worldsensing has created an EMS that helps us identify, quantify, manage and control all our processes from an environmental perspective. This means improving resource efficiency, reducing waste, ensuring compliance with legislation and regulatory requirements, incorporating environmental requirements throughout the entire supply chain, and designing procedures for adopting eco-design in our products, among other initiatives.
