Worldsensing enables cities to accelerate their digitization process with its intelligent IoT solution builder, OneMind
Barcelona, November 2018
Smart City Expo World Congress (SCEWC), the leading international event for cities, will host its 8th edition with the theme ‘Cities To Live In’ from November 13th to 15th in Barcelona. SCEWC aims to empower cities and collectivize urban innovation across the globe. This year’s event is looking to be the biggest edition yet with +400 speakers, a redesigned conference, and +870 exhibitors of which almost 80 are cities.
Worldsensing, the IoT pioneer and Smart City expert, is one of the SCEWC Event Partners and will be exhibiting at the event at booth #411. With over 60 cities around the globe already using Worldsensing technology to monitor and manage mobility, parking, traffic and security, at SCEWC, the Barcelona-based company will showcase how its Smart City technology provides a fast-track stream for cities to go smart.
Over the past ten years, Worldsensing has been working on making cities smarter and more resilient. OneMind, the intelligent IoT solution builder, is the core technology Worldsensing uses to enable cities to transform the way they manage data and operate, ultimately leading to better cities for citizens.
With tailor-made city applications powered by OneMind or end-to-end solutions, cities can gain full visibility and control of all operational processes, such as traffic management, parking enforcement, and incident detection. It enables control room operators to make real-time decisions based on actionable, data-driven insights.
To demonstrate the power of its technology, Worldsensing is giving away one personalized Smart City showcase for free. The study will allow the winning city to experience the benefits of going smart firsthand. Within one week, the city will be able to integrate data from five existing systems such as traffic, incidents, and emergency services with OneMind and will be able to see the results on an interactive city map combined with a personalized KPI dashboard.
The showcase campaign runs until Wednesday, November 14th, 2018, and the winner will be informed on the last day of SCEWC18 on November 15th, 2018. Cities can enter here to win.
A Worldsensing Smart City project has been selected as a finalist for the Digital Transformation Award at the World Smart City Awards 2018 which are part of the Smart City Expo World Congress (SCEWC 2018). The entry titled ‘How a province in Vietnam is becoming a digital province and is transforming Vietnam Into a Smart Nation’ is a joint initiative with AIC Group, a Worldsensing partner in Vietnam. The project is transforming how provinces and the central government are communicating with each other and how city leaders are enabled to access data to establish new policies and make better future investments. The award ceremony will be held during SCEWC on Wednesday, November 14, from, 19:00 – 19:30 in the Auditorium in the Congress Area.
During this year’s SCEWC, Worldsensing’s CEO and Co-founder, Ignasi Vilajosana, will speak at a Mobility themed panel session focused on addressing challenges city governments face when managing current and future mobility.
