Barcelona, February 2018
The Mobile World Congress is the world’s largest gathering for the mobile industry. The event organized by the GSMA, attracts over 100,000 visitors who come to spend a jam-packed week in the Mobile World Capital, Barcelona.
According to GSMA data, over 5 billion people, or more than two-thirds of the world’s population, have a mobile phone connection. While mobile phones connect individuals, the Internet of Things (IoT) leverages mobile networks to connect devices to the Internet. With this year’s theme,
“Mobile is creating a better future, and we want you to be a part of it.”
the IoT pioneer and Operational Intelligence technology provider Worldsensing will be present at MWC18 through different speaking sessions and booth collaborations.
The showcase stage, located outside the main auditorium in the Conference Village, shall be the platform for the brightest companies and speakers to facilitate short, interesting demonstrations during the event. Ignasi Vilajosana, Worldsensing CEO and cofounder, has been cordially invited by the GSMA to deliver a brief talk and he will be conducting a live demo of the Mobility solution for the city of Bogota.
Worldsensing’s Mobility solution will also be available for more in-depth demos at the Ericsson booth at hall 2 stand 2O60, as part of Ericsson’s IoT Accelerator platform proposition. MWC18 attendees may also have a first-hand look at Fastprk, Worldsensing’s Parking Mangement System, and Fastprk2, a prototype of the EU-funded, next-generation smart parking innovation.
4 Years From Now (4YFN) is the startup business platform of MWC that enables startups, investors and corporations to connect and launch new ventures together. During this year’s installment, a group of experts will look at how the Internet of Things will develop in the next four years and will explore the business models behind the IoT, applications leading the IoT pack and who will regulate the IoT in the future.
