Caracterización del sistema GNSS LoRa

Resumen

This article presents a GNSS-based control system with RTK processing that uses wireless long-range communication for sending corrections. The GNSS Meters are powered by internal batteries and are easy to configure, so installation is quick and requires little maintenance.

To characterize the system, a comparison is presented between the measurements taken by it and those taken with a Robotic Total Station and prisms installed on the same control structures. The area in which the comparison is made is in the Estació neighborhood of Sallent in Catalunya. The ICGC has been monitoring the area for more than 20 years, which is affected by subsidences caused by underground mining that was active in the area.

The results show how the new system, GNSS Meter, achieves sub-centimeter precision. This, together with the rest of the characteristics, makes the system a scalable tool with potential for monitoring ground movements, particularly in the case of landslides and slopes.
