A real-time bridge monitoring and alerting solution designed to quickly detect impacts on bridges and other critical infrastructure. Our Bridge Strike System is designed to instantly identify potential structural threats, trigger automated actions, and enable rapid decision-making to protect public safety.
All the building blocks for an efficient Bridge Strike System
Use real-time, triaxial tilt monitoring of ground structures powered by edge threshold analysis to detect any early deviations in ground movement. These long-range, battery-operated units offer up to 10 years of minimal-maintenance, uninterrupted operation.
Crucial for effective bridge impact detection, it processes vibration in terms of velocity, providing PPV (Particle Peak Velocity) and predominant frequency measurements. These indicators are vital for identifying potential bridge strike events and accurately evaluating the resulting structural response. An extended frequency range enables enhanced event analysis and characterization.
Connect a Worldsensing field camera to enhance bridge event detectionand have visual information on possible strike events. Set triggers based on sensor data to activate the camera when needed.
Leverage the power of Worldsensing Thread X3, a fully autonomous connectivity station with integrated 4G/LTE cellular modem, and Ethernet communications and battery pack in a weather-resistant enclosure.
Streamline your early warning system operations with CMT Cloud & Thread Manager. Whether you’re using private networks or cloud-based solutions, the software allows you to manage your network, devices, and data all in one centralized platform.
Effortlessly stream your data from CMT Cloud & Thread Manager to a third-party visualization tool to trigger alerts via email or mobile app, activate cameras connected to the ThreadX3, and integrate it with other alarm systems for a comprehensive response.
The Worldsensing Bridge Strike System is easy to configure. This connect-and-collect solution minimizes deployment times and ensures low maintenance costs.
Tiltmeters and Vibration Meters are strategically installed on bridges or critical infrastructure to continuously monitor structural behavior. When an impact or abnormal vibration on the bridge is detected, the system immediately triggers an alert, sending data via the network within seconds.
Alerts are transmitted from the field Gateway to the CMT Cloud, where the software enables centralized device and network management. The data is then integrated into third-party software, allowing users to visualize events and receive instant notifications for effective bridge strike monitoring.
When an alert is triggered, the system initiates an automated response system by requesting video footage from the in-field camera connected to Thread X3. The camera shares footage spanning 30–60 seconds around the impact event. The visual confirmation allows users to quickly verify the event, assess severity, and take swift, appropriate action, such as closing the bridge, managing upstream and downstream traffic, or dispatching emergency teams.
Deploy the Bridge Strike System across multiple locations and integrate data to support event detection and structural monitoring.
Monitor impacts from over-height vehicles, collisions, or structural stress in real time. The system ensures rapid verification and response to maximize user safety and minimize traffic disruption.
Effectively detect accidental strikes or abnormal vibrations caused by vehicles or external forces, helping prevent catastrophic structural damage and ensuring safe operation.
Protect vital assets such as gantries, rail bridges, or industrial structures where impacts pose significant safety risks. The system delivers immediate alerts and visual confirmation to support fast, informed decisions.

In the past, we would have done it with cables. It would have been a lot of work for the construction company. It’s not really competitive anymore to use cable systems in geotechnical projects.Read success story

We've had a good relationship with Worldsensing for a number of years and we are one of their early adopters. We've really seen the value in a wireless solution. The Modbus protocol implementation on the gateway allows for seamless integration to existing communication infrastructure. This also isolates access to the data and reduces the impact of network outage in the area.Read success story
