English version
The BEA project involves the study, design and development of a monitoring, diagnostic and structural forecasting system for bogies, consisting of two products: (i) a bogie pick-up, processing and communication module, called intelligent bogie monitoring sensor, SIMBA, to generate information on the state of mechanical degradation of critical elements of the bogie, such as axles and wheels, and (ii) a software package for diagnostic, forecasting and decision support, integrated into the system, known as bogie analysis software for the anticipation of failures, SABAnA, which allows to present increased information on the condition and evolution of the monitored elements, as well as the correlation with the application schedules and maintenance schedules for the estimation of remaining life time.
This project is co-funded by the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness as part of the State Program of Research.
