The wireless monitoring system is officially approved by the London Underground Limited (LUL)
Barcelona, August 2018
Worldsensing, through its partner Geosense, recently secured the approval of the London Underground Limited (LUL) for the use of Loadsensing, the leading wireless monitoring system, in deep tube tunnels.

An officially certified product and partnership

“We are very pleased to have received LUL approval for the Wi-SOS equipment. It has been a long time in the making but we are very grateful for the support from Worldsensing during the approval process. The approval is especially significant with upcoming projects such as HS2 coming to fruition and we hope that the approval opens up the benefits of the proven Wi-SOS system to all LUL projects,” says Martin Clegg, Managing Director of Geosense.

Wireless Monitoring for metro tunnels

Loadsensing in combination with Geosense sensors and instruments have passed the requirements of the LU Standard S1085 that aims to minimize cable runs for the asset monitoring of tunnels and shafts. In the UK, LUL equipment is available from Geosense.

Commitment to quality and excellence

“This certificate is proof of the high quality standards we aim to meet. It shows that our products and services pass through rigid tests and evaluation before being deployed in real scenarios,” says Ignasi Vilajosana, Worldsensing CEO and cofounder. “We don’t just produce wireless data nodes that can be connected to sensors in harsh environments, we help our clients to ensure the safety of metro passengers and underground tunnel personnel through real-time, wireless monitoring.”
